Work-time record FAQ

Quick answers about regulations and SolveLens HR.

Are work-time records mandatory? Yes, for most companies in Spain since 2019. You must record when each employee's working day starts and ends and retain the records.
How long must records be kept? The usual retention period is 4 years. Cloud software avoids relying on a local file that could be lost.
Is a spreadsheet enough for work-time records? It may work for very small teams but is fragile: errors, conflicting versions and weak audits. Dedicated software is more reliable.
Do remote workers need to clock in? Yes. Work-time records apply to remote work too. SolveLens HR supports clock-in from web or mobile app.
Can I export reports for payroll or inspections? Yes. On the Professional plan you can generate advanced reports and export them.
